With the world in lock down throughout April, the R&A confirmed the cancellation of this years Open Championship at Royal St Georges, with the USGA suspending the US PGA until early August, the US Open will be played in mid September and the Masters is now taking place in mid November. The European Tour also postponed all events until the end of July, when the British Masters will be the first event to take place. As for the golf clubs Privatus works with globally, Scandinavia and Dubai are still set to be the first courses to re-open at some stage next month. The main golfing event of the year is the Ryder Cup at Whistling Straights in the US, with every intention to play the event but with the likelihood it will be contested without spectator attendance, will both teams still decide for it to go ahead. The last time the tournament was suspended was back in 2001 after the terror attacks of 9/11.
