CORNWALL
The North Cornwall fishing port of Padstow has seen its popularity explode over recent years. Centred around the attractive harbour the bustling town is an eclectic mix of fisherman’s cottages and merchant’s houses. Whilst fishing and the port’s trade have declined over the centuries the void has been readily filled with Padstow and its surrounding areas of Rock, Harlyn and Port Issac establishing itself as Cornwall’s most exclusive destination. The success of the town can be attributed to its inherent charms but there is no denying that certain celebrity chefs and world class golf courses, have probably contributed to putting Padstow back on the global map.
If you were to ask our Club Founder why Padstow was the first Privatus location in England, he’ll tell you if there was one last supper in any port and one last hole in golf he could play anywhere in the world, then Padstow would be one of the options a coin toss would decide…that’s how magical this part of the Cornish coastline is.
