THE STORY SO FAR…

Dan is a Commonwealth Power Lifting Gold Medalist Winner 2018/2019, along with a 2 times British & English Power Lifting Champion, ranked at his highest 7th in the world and 5th in Europe.  Having also been a Semi-Professional Rugby player between 2012-2015, how has an elite performer made such an unbelievable transformation into becoming a top Amateur Golfer, with big aspirations of turning Professional in the next couple of years.

It all began in 2018 when Dan first started playing golf and by the end of that year was already down to a single figure handicap of 9.  Over the next 3 years Dan would incredibly reach a Plus 2 Handicap and be competing in the Top 100 Order of Merit players on the newly formed Clutch Pro Tour, feeder platform onto the DP World/European Challenge Tour.

Having built around him a fantastic stable of golf and performance coaches, to add to his already unparralled level of strength and conditioning knowledge, he applies to his day to day personal coaching client business, Dan deservedly won the Club Championships at his home course of Windlesham GC earlier this summer, a club that boasts many scratch golfers amongst its membership.

Dan aims to complete an intense off season winter training schedule coming up, where practice camps in sunnier climates with better playing conditions, combined with continual body functional golf performance work, should ensure an extremely realistic chance of playing in some of the major amateur golfing tournaments next year along with securing one of the Challenge Tour sports available from the Clutch Pro Tour and failing that, attending Challenge Tour School Qualifying next Autumn with a view to having some type of playing category and invitational rights to the Challenge Tour.

When it comes to the main DP World/European Tour, come the end of the 2025 season and as Dan turns 30 years of age, his ambitions are set on a place performing on the highest stage.

WHAT THE SPONSORS THINK…

CHRIS GAME – Founder (PRIVATUS CLUB GROUP)

“Dan is without question, an incredible golfing talent, given how little time he’s been playing the game and his determination, work ethic/practice consistency, along with his extremely likeable character is why I was drawn to learning more about him.

Having been a professional golfer myself and running a company in part that  specialises in the biggest playing arenas across global tours, I was intrigued to work with Dan, firstly from a personal fitness point of view but then as I got to know him as well as I do now, I was drawn to helping me achieve his potential in the sport, not just from financial aid but through swing specific coaching and in particular, management benefits.

Dan as an ambassador for us has undoubtedly given Privatus Club Group the right type of exposure that we wanted and with a player we knew our clients and colleagues could experience what our company is really all about. It’s a privilege to work with Dan and to call him a friend and I wish him all the best for the rest of the season and no one works harder and deserves all the success in the world more than he does.”
